Sophia Nahabedian, M.P.S

Sophia is a Clinical Psychological Science MPS graduate from the University of Maryland who earned her BS degree from Tulane University in Psychology and Studio Art. Sophia joined our team to learn more about treatment for mood disorders. Her primary interest lies in improving health outcomes for individuals living with bipolar disorder; specifically, she hopes to study the bipolar prodrome to improve early identification and early intervention for at-risk youth. Sophia also hopes to work in psychosocial treatment development research to target treatment adherence by addressing barriers to care and optimizing long-term symptom improvement. She is passionate about using community-based research to ensure that interventions are responsive to the needs and concerns of the population she hopes to work with. In addition to Sophia’s clinical and research endeavors, she also works as a ceramics teacher and technician at local studios.
