About CBT
What is CBT?
CBT is an umbrella term for a range of therapies that are goal-oriented and solution-focused. Therapy goals are determined by you based on your concerns and symptoms. Your therapist will help identify practical strategies and tools to help you learn skills relevant to you. You will be asked to practice skills in-between session. CBT is evidence-based, meaning there is literature to show the effectiveness of the strategies and skills that are utilized. Our philosophy is to help you learn ways to relate to difficult feelings and behaviors in a more helpful way.
